Schloss Anif

O Palácio Anif, também conhecido como Palácio das Águas de Anif, está ao lado de um lago artificial no condado austríaco de Anif na borda sul da cidade de Salzburgo. Anif é mais famoso por seu uso em vários filmes, incluindo The Sound of Music e O Dossiê Odessa de Forsyth Frederick.


Sua origem não pode ser exatamente datada, mas existe um documento de cerca de 1520 mostrando que um palácio chamado Oberweiher existia neste local. Seu proprietário era o diretor do domínio e oficial de justiça Praunecker Lienhart (kra q nome difícil de falar).
A partir de 1530 o palácio de água é mencionado regularmente como um feudo dado aos respectivos arcebispos de Salzburgo . Desta forma, foi dado aos bispos de Chiemsee, após uma restauração de Johann Ernst von Thun em 1693, desde então, os bispos o utilizavam como residência de verão. (deviam rolar altas festas hehehe)
Quando Salzburg passou para a Áustria em 1806, o palácio e a lagoa se tornaram propriedade pública. Embora o palácio tenha sido alugado a partir desse ponto, os respectivos usuários não realizaram quaisquer reconstrução ou restauração.
Isso mudou quando a propriedade foi vendida para o Conde Alois Arco-Stepperg em 1837. Ele reconstruiu o Palácio Anif entre 1838 e 1848 em estilo neo gótico romântico, e deu-lhe o seu aspecto atual. Até aquele momento, o palácio consistia simplesmente em um prédio simples, habitação de quatro andares e um edifício de dois andares se conectar com uma capela.
Após a morte do Conde em 1891 a propriedade foi para seu parente mais próximo do sexo feminino, Sophie, que era casada com o conde Ernst von Moy de Sons; o palácio, portanto, acabou nas mãos de uma antiga família nobre francesa .
Em 1918, o palácio atraiu a atenção do público quando o rei Ludwig III da Baviera, sua família e comitiva fugiram para escapar da Revolução de Novembro. Com a Declaração de Anif no 13/12 novembro de 1918, Ludwig III se recusou a abdicar, no entanto, ele libertou todos os funcionários do governo da Baviera, soldados e oficiais de seu juramento, porque ele não foi capaz de continuar governando.
Durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial as unidades da Wehrmacht alemã foram acomodados no palácio, seguido por unidades norte-americanas em 1945.

The Anif Palace, also known as Water Palace Anif, stands beside an artificial pond within the Austrian county of Anif at the southern edge of the city of Salzburg. Anif is most famous for its use in several movies, including The Sound of Music and Frederick Forsyth's The Odessa File.

Its origins cannot be exactly dated but there is a document from around 1520 showing that a palace called Oberweiher existing at this location. Its owner was the dominion directory bailiff Lienhart Praunecker.
From 1530 the water palace is mentioned regularly as a fief given by the respective Archbishop of Salzburg. In this way it was given to the bishops of Chiemsee after a restoration by Johann Ernst von Thun in 1693; from then on, the bishops used it as a summer residence.
When Salzburg fell to Austria in 1806, the palace and the pond came into public ownership. Although the palace was leased from that point on, the respective users did not undertake any rebuilding or restoring measures worth mentioning.
This changed when the property was sold to Alois Count Arco-Stepperg in 1837. He rebuilt Anif Palace between 1838 and 1848 in new Gothic romanticizing style, and gave it its present-day look. Up to that time, the palace had simply consisted of a plain, four-story dwelling and a two-story connecting building to a chapel.
After the death of the Count in 1891 the property fell to his nearest female relative, Sophie, who was married to the Count Ernst von Moy de Sons; the palace therefore ended up in the hands of his old French noble family.
In 1918, the palace attracted public attention when King Ludwig III of Bavaria and his family and entourage fled to escape the November Revolution. With the Declaration of Anif on the 12/13 November 1918, Ludwig III refused to abdicate; however, he freed all Bavarian government officials, soldiers and officers from their oath because he was not able to continue the government.
During World War II the German Wehrmacht units were accommodated in the palace, followed by American units in 1945.
