Castell de Bellver

I regret the little information I have about this castle of exotic architecture, surely the only castle with walls in a circle I've ever seen. I just know it gets in the Balearic Islands, Spain. If anyone has any more information and want to share, I'll be very grateful.

EDIT: Bellver Castle (Catalan: Castell de Bellver) is a Gothic style castle on a hill 3 km northwest of Palma on the Island of Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. It was built in the 14th century for King James II of Majorca, and is one of the few circular castles in Europe[2]. Long used as a military prison throughout the 18th to mid-20th century, it is now under civilian control, being one of the main tourist attractions of the island, as well as the seat for the city's History Museum.

The castle's plan, circular floor with circular towers attached to it seems to have been inspired by the upper complex of the Herodion in the West Bank, which is also circular and has as well a large principal tower and three minor towers. The minor towers are attached while the principal one is coupled to the complex by a high bridge over the surrounding moat.

The main part of the fortification was built by architect Pere Salvà, who also worked in the construction of the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, together with other master masons between 1300 and 1311 for king James II of Aragon and Majorca. Rock from the hill where the castle sits was used for the building, which has eventually led to the appareance of cracks.

Once the castle had been built, and following the introduction of artillery, the battlements on the top balconies and the barbican disappeared, being soon followed by those in every tower, and loopholes were built instead.

Lamento a pouca informação que eu tenho sobre esse castelo de arquitetura exótica, com certeza o único castelo com muralhas em forma de círculo que eu já vi. Eu só sei que fica em Baleares, Espanha. Se alguem tiver mais alguma informação e quiser compartirlhar, ficarei muito agradecido

EDIT: Castelo de Bellver (Catalão: Castell de Bellver) é um castelo de estilo gótico em uma colina 3 km a noroeste de Palma, na ilha de Maiorca, Ilhas Baleares, Espanha. Foi construído no século 14 para o Rei Jaime II de Maiorca, e é um dos poucos castelos circulares na Europa . Usado como uma prisão militar desde o séc. 18 até meados do século 20, está agora sob controle civil, sendo uma das principais atrações turísticas da ilha, bem como a sede para o Museu de História da cidade.

O plano do castelo, com torres circulares piso circular preso a elas parece ter sido inspirado pelo complexo superior do Herodion na Cisjordânia, que também é circular e tem também uma grande torre principal e três torres menores. As torres menores são unidas enquanto a principal é acoplada ao complexo por uma ponte alta sobre o fosso ao redor.

A parte principal da fortificação foi construída pelo arquiteto Pere Salvà, que também trabalhou na construção do Palácio Real de La Almudaina, juntamente com outros mestres pedreiros, entre 1300 e 1311 para o rei Jaime II de Aragão e de Maiorca. A rocha da colina onde fica o castelo foi usado para a construção, o que eventualmente levou ao aparecimento de trincas.
